Return & Refund Policy

At Vintage Seventies, we want you to love every piece you purchase from us. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, we’re here to help. This policy explains how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds for purchases made through our website vintageseventies.com or in our physical store.

1. Return Eligibility

We accept returns on most items purchased online within 14 days from the date of delivery, in accordance with Belgian and EU consumer protection laws.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and in its original condition.
  • All original tags, labels, and packaging must be intact.
  • Proof of purchase (such as your order number or receipt) is required.

Please note that vintage items are unique and may show signs of natural wear due to age — this is part of their charm and authenticity. Such minor imperfections are not considered defects.

2. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on the following items:

  • Earrings or other pierced jewelry
  • Undergarments or swimwear
  • Gift cards or sale items (unless faulty)

3. How to Start a Return

If you wish to return an item, please contact our support team first to request authorization.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • The reason for your return

Once approved, we will provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and return instructions. Unauthorized returns sent without a RAN may not be accepted.

4. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in transit.

If we made an error or the product arrived faulty, we will cover all shipping costs and provide a full refund or exchange.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you via email about the status of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

Please note: It may take up to 10–15 business days in total for your refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.

7. Exchanges

Because most of our vintage items are one-of-a-kind, we cannot always guarantee exact exchanges. If you would like to exchange an item for a different size or product, please contact us — we’ll do our best to help you find a suitable alternative.

8. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 3 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • A short description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the item

We will review your request and arrange a replacement, repair, or refund depending on the situation.

9. In-Store Purchases

Items purchased directly from our Brussels shop can be returned in-store within 14 days of purchase, provided they meet the same conditions. Please bring your original receipt when visiting the shop.

10. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund after 10 business days:

  • Check your bank account again.
  • Contact your credit card company, as it may take some time for the refund to appear.
  • If you still haven’t received your refund, please contact us at info@vintageseventies.com.
